Telecom Management Job (Windows)

The Telecom Management job, enabling administrators to effectively manage and monitor data consumption on enrolled devices or groups remotely. This job empowers administrators to establish predefined thresholds for data usage, enhancing control and cost management. You can use this job to receive automated notifications when the data usage on a device surpasses the set threshold limit. 

To create Telecom Management Policy job and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate tto theSureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > Windows > Telecom Management Policy. 

  2. Configure the following Telecom Management Policy settings and click OK.

Configure Billing Cycle

Select the billing cycle (Monthly Weekly/Daily/Custom).

Note: Billing Start Date / Day will be auto-populated based on the option selected in the Configure Billing Cycle.

Configure Mobile Data Limits

Enter the value to set the threshold for the data usage for Limit 1 and Limit 2.

Note: Block Data, Send Device Alert, Send MDM Alert, Send Email Alert options are enabled once the value for the threshold is entered.

ActionSelect the appropriate action when the data usage exceeds the set threshold specified in Limit1 and Limit 2:
Block Data - Will block the data usage.
Send Device Alert - Notifies the device user.
Send MDM Alert - Notifies the SureMDM admin.
Send Email Alert - Notifies by email to the configured email address

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the Windows device(s) or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. Select the job under All Jobs/Profiles.

  4. Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
