SureVideo Settings (Windows)
The SureVideo Settings job in SureMDM for Windows enables administrators to remotely configure SureVideo application behavior on managed devices. This job ensures efficient management and customization of SureVideo settings, tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
To create SureVideo Settings job and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s), follow these steps:
Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > Windows > SureVideo Settings.
In the SureVideo Settings prompt, enter a Job Name.
Choose between:
- Key Settings: Use the built-in UI to configure options.
- Advanced Settings: Enter or Import complete XML configuration.
Key Settings
The Key Settings mode provides a tabbed interface to configure SureVideo settings:
Playlist Settings
Option | Description |
---|---|
Add Files | Upload video or image files to the playlist. Supported formats: .mp4, .wmv, .3gp, .m4v, .mkv, .jpg, .jpeg, .png |
Add URL | Enter URLs (YouTube/host) that contain videos to include in the playlist. |
Image Timeout | Set the duration (in seconds or minutes) after which images in the playlist switch automatically. |
The playback order will follow the sequence of files and URLs as configured in the playback settings.
Media Settings
Option | Description |
---|---|
Show Media Control | Enable to display media controls on the screen, allowing pause, play, and navigate through the video. |
Enable Full Screen Mode | Enables fullscreen playback of media files. |
Display Options | Select the preferred video display mode from the dropdown: 'Full Screen' for a maximized view or ‘Side By Side Screen’ for split screen layout (requires at least two videos for Side-By-Side Screen mode). |
Screensaver Settings
Option | Description |
---|---|
Enable Screensaver | Select this option to activate the screensaver after a specified period of inactivity. |
Screensaver Timeout | Specify the inactivity duration (in seconds or minutes) after which the screensaver is triggered. |
Side By Side Screen and Screensaver Timeout options are supported on Windows devices with Surevideo Application version >= 1.0.37
Windows Logon
Option | Description |
---|---|
Username | Enter the username of an account that exists on the device. This username will be used to auto-login to the device and launch SureVideo. If the user does not exist, create the user first using the User Account Management job's 'Create User' option. |
Password | Enter the password associated with the username for auto-login. Ensure it matches the username credentials. |
Domain | Enter the domain name if applicable. This is required for auto-login in a domain network environment. |
Change Password
Option | Description |
---|---|
Password | Set a new password for accessing SureVideo application settings on the device. |
Confirm Password | Re-enter password to confirm. |
This password grants access to the SureVideo application settings. The default password is set to 0000.
Advanced Settings
For advanced users, the Advanced Settings tab allows direct input or import of XML configuration.
Option | Description |

Input Field | Paste or enter the SureVideo configuration in XML format. |
Import | Click to import a previously saved XML configuration file from your local drive. For complete XML, click here |
- Once done, click Save to save the changes. The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section
Go back to the Home tab and select the Windows device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
Select the job under All Jobs/Profiles.
Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
