Proxy Settings Job (Windows)

The Proxy Settings job allows administrators to monitor and, if necessary, block access to specific websites on the enrolled devices. By remotely monitoring web activity, administrators gain information about the websites being accessed, allowing them to assess whether these sites align with organizational policies and objectives.

To create Proxy Settings job and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > Windows > Proxy Settings.

  2. On the Proxy Settings prompt, select the following details and click OK.

Job NameEnter a name for the job.
Enable ProxySelect this option to configure proxy settings.
Proxy Type

Select the proxy type (Auto/Manual). When the following is selected:

Auto – Enter the proxy PAC URL

Manual – Enter the Proxy Server and Proxy Port

Proxy PAC URLEnter the URL of the Proxy PAC file

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List. 

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the Windows device(s) or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. Select the job under All Jobs/Profiles.

  4. Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
