Deploy Google Chrome

Overview​

The Deploy Google Chrome job in SureMDM allows IT administrators to install the Google Chrome browser on managed Windows devices through a zero-touch, streamlined deployment process. This ensures all targeted devices have a secure, enterprise-ready version of Chrome, improving user experience and reducing manual installation overhead.

Once the job is configured and deployed, the application is silently installed on the devices without requiring user interaction.

To create a Deploy Google Chrome job:

  1. Log in to the SureMDM console.
  2. Navigate to Jobs > New Job > Windows > Deploy Google Chrome.
  3. Select Deploy Google Chrome from the list of available job types.
  4. In the Deploy Google Chrome dialog box, provide a Job Name.
  5. Once done, click Save to save the changes. The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.
  6. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
  7. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.

Result​

Once deployed, the job silently installs Google Chrome on the assigned devices. Users are not required to take any action during the installation process.

The installed version of Chrome will be the latest available at the time of deployment, and is a stable and enterprise-ready application.

Requirements​

  • Supported only on Windows devices managed via SureMDM.
  • Internet access is required on devices to download and install Chrome.
