Disk Management
The Disk Management payload allows IT administrators to configure the disk management settings for users of a Mac that enrolled via device management. These settings help to configure mount policies for external storage and network storage on macOS devices using Declarative Device Management (DDM). Supported on macOS 15.0 onwards.
Note: This profile is available only for Device Enrollment.
Steps to Configure Disk Management Profile
On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Profiles > macOS > Add > Device Enrollment > Disk Management > Configure
Enter a Profile Name.
In the Configure Disk Management screen, configure the required options.

| External Storage Access Control | Specify the External Storage Access Control action. Not Configured Info: SureMDM does not alter this setting when set to ‘Not Configured’. Allow Info: The system can mount external storage that is read-write or read-only. Read Only Info: The system can only mount external storage in read-only mode. Note that read-write external storage will not be mounted as read-only. Restrict Info: The system cannot mount any external storage. |

Click Save.
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
