Configure DNS Settings
DNS Settings payload enables administrators to configure secure DNS protocols and domain match settings on macOS devices.
Applicable only for Device Enrollments.
To create a profile to configure DNS Settings on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:
- On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to 
 Profiles > macOS > Add > Device Enrollment > DNS Settings > Configure.
- Enter a Profile Name and click Add. 
- In the Configure DNS Settings popup, configure the below options and click Save: 
| Settings | Description |

| DNS Protocol | Select the protocol to communicate with the DNS Server. Options: HTTPS, TLS. This is a mandatory field. | 
| Server Address | Specify one or more DNS server IP addresses (IPv4/IPv6). | 
| Server Name (TLS only) | Specify the hostname of the DNS-over-TLS server for certificate validation. Mandatory for TLS. | 
| Server URL (HTTPS only) | Specify the server URL using https:// scheme for certificate validation. Mandatory for HTTPS. | 
| Supplement Match Domains | List of domains used to determine which DNS queries use the specified DNS server. | 
| Certificate UUID | Upload the certificate used for authentication with the DNS resolver. | 
Note :
The configured entries will appear in the table on the DNS Settings screen.  
- Click Save. 
 The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
- Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s). 
- Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt. 
- In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
