Configure Contacts Settings Profile
The Contacts Settings payload enables administrators to configure account settings for connecting to a CardDAV-compliant contact server. This is a User Profile payload.
Applicable for both Device and User Enrollments.
To create a profile to configure contacts on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:
- On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to: Profiles > macOS > Add > Device / User Enrollment > Contacts Settings > Configure 
- Enter a Profile Name. 
- In the Contacts section, configure the following options: - Settings - Description - Account Hostname - Enter the IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the CardDAV server. - Account Description - Enter the display name for the account. - Port Number - Enter the port number of the CardDAV server. - Account Username - Enter the username for the CardDAV account. - Principal URL - Enter the Principal URL for the CardDAV account. - Account Password - Enter the password for the CardDAV account. 
 (If left empty, users must enter their password after the payload is installed on the device.)- Use SSL - When enabled, if the server’s SSL certificate isn’t issued by a trusted certificate authority known to the devices, use the Certificates payload to add any root or intermediate certificates required to validate the server’s SSL certificate. 
- Click Save. - The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
 
- Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s). 
- Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt. 
- In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
