Configure Wi-Fi Configuration Profile
The Wi-Fi Configuration Profile setup for macOS offers administrators the ability to remotely configure enrolled devices for wireless network connectivity. This feature streamlines the process of ensuring that devices seamlessly connect to designated Wi-Fi networks.
To remotely configure the enrolled device to the wireless network, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > macOS > Add > Wi-Fi Configuration > Configure
2. Enter a Profile Name and click Add.
3. Configure WiFi settings and click Save.
Settings | Description |
---|---|
SSID | Enter the SSID name of the desired network. |
Wi-Fi Type | Select the Wi-Fi Type, i.e., Personal or Enterprise. |
Security Type | Select the security type (None / WEP / WPA/WPA2 Personal / WPA2 Personal / Any (Personal) / WPA3(macOS 15.0 or later)) for the network type. |
Hidden Network | Select this option to connect to a network that is not open or broadcasting. |
Auto Join | Select this option to automatically connect to the network when starting the device. |
Proxy Setup | Select the proxy type (None / Manual / Automatic). |
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
4. Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s).
5. Click Apply to launch Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
6. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
