Configure Device Restrictions Profile

The Device Restrictions Profile feature offered by SureMDM enables administrators to remotely manage and control various settings, applications, functions, and media content on enrolled macOS devices. This feature provides a flexible way to tailor device usage and access based on organizational requirements.

To configure a Device Restrictions Profile remotely on the enrolled devices, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profile > macOS > Add > Device Restrictions > Configure.

2. Enter a Profile Name and configure the Restriction settings.

 Restriction section lists out all functions on the device under following six categories:

  • Preferences
  • Apps
  • Widgets
  • Media
  • Sharing
  • Functionality

3. Toggle On /OFF to allow or deny the features from different categories and click Save.

     The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.

4. Go back to Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s).

5. Click Apply to launch Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

6. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
