Configure Notification Settings Profile

Notification Settings Profile allows administrators to customize notification settings for specific apps on a macOS device. It functions as a Device Profile payload.

To create a profile to configure notifications on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:

  1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Profiles > macOS > Add > Notification Settings > Configure.

  2. Enter a Profile Name and click Add.

  3. In the Add App prompt, configure the below options and click Add:

App NameSelect the app from the provided list or you can also add an app by providing App Name and Bundle ID.
Allow NotificationsAllows notification to be enabled or disabled.
Alert TypeControls Alert style when unlocked. Choose the alert type from the below options:
None - Notifications do not appear on the screen
Temporary Banner - Notifications appear on the screen and disappear after a while
Persistent Banner - Notifications stay on the screen until dismissed
Allow SoundAllows sound for the app notification.
Allow BadgingAllows the app to show the badge count of notifications.
Show in Notification CenterAllows notification to be displayed in Notification Center.
Show in Lock ScreenAllows notification to appear on the Lock Screen.
Allow Critical AlertAllows the app to send a notification as a critical alert that ignores Do Not Disturb and ringer settings.

The added configuration will be reflected in the table section.

  1. Click Save.

The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  1. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
