Configure File Sharing Control Profile
The File Sharing Control provides a safe and reliable method for distributing business files across devices using the File Store feature. This profile empowers administrators to establish a document library, facilitating the secure sharing of various files including images, videos, and other documents across enrolled devices.
To share a file using File Sharing Control and remotely deploy it to the device(s),follow these steps:
On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Profile > iOS/iPadOS > Add > File Sharing Control > Configure.
Enter a Profile Name.
Click Add to launch File Store prompt.
Select the desired files or folders and click Add.
The added files will be listed in the box located on the right side of the screen.
Upon adding the required file(s) / folder(s), click Done.
The added files will get listed in the File Sharing Policy table section with the option to configure auto-download. Select the file(s) that you want to auto-download on the device (if required).
Auto Download is supported from iOS SureMDM Agent v4.47.
Click Permission to configure the permissions and access configurations the following file permissions:
6.1. File Permissions
This section lets you manage user permissions for file operations.
Setting Description Allow File Delete Choose whether users are allowed to delete files via the SureMDM Agent. Options: Grant / DenyAllow File Upload Choose whether users can upload files to the device from the Agent interface. Options: Grant / DenynoteThese permissions are supported from iOS SureMDM Agent v4.46 onwards.
6.2. Access Configurations
Configure folder access behavior for users interacting with file storage on the device.
Setting | Description |

Enable Home Folder | Controls access to the user’s personal Home directory. Options: Default / Enable / Disable |
Enable Shared Folder | Controls access to the shared folder location. Options: Default / Enable / Disable |
These settings are supported from iOS SureMDM Agent v4.73 onwards.
Click Save.
The newly created profile will be listed under the Profiles section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPadOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
Select the profile under All Jobs/Profiles.
Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
