Setup Application Configuration Profile

The Application Configuration Profile allows administrators to conveniently install and seamlessly configure applications on enrolled devices from a remote location. By extending beyond just app installation, Configuration Profiles offers an array of customizable options that enable administrators to customize the user experience, security protocols, and device functionality according to the specific requirements of the organization or user.

To install and configure the application remotely on the enrolled device, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > iOS/iPadOS > Add > Configuration Profile > Configure.

  2. Enter a Profile Name and click Add.

  3. In the Application Configuration prompt, enter the App Name or App ID and click Add.

  4. In the Key, Value, and Type prompt, Enter the following details and click Add > Save.

    • Key
    • Type
    • Value

    Example: Enter Key: SettingsXML, Type: String, Value: XML Data (Settings will be in XML code)

    The application will be listed in the Configuration section.

  5. Click Save.

    The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.

  6. Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPadOS device(s) or group(s).

  7. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  8. Select the profile under All Jobs/Profiles.

  9. Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
