Zebra Link-OS Printer Enrollment (via NRD File)
42Gears has collaborated with Zebra Technologies to make Things management simpler and more efficient. SureMDM allows you to remotely manage and configure Zebra Link-OS printers, saving time, energy, and other resources.
Enroll Zebra Link-OS Printer to SureMDM using the NRD File
To enroll the Zebra Printer to SureMDM Console using the NRD File, follow these steps:
Prerequisite
- Enable Things Gateway in the SureMDM Console.
- Configure No Authentication in the SureMDM Console.
Steps:
Navigate to Enrollment > Manual Enrollment, then expand the Things accordion, and select the Zebra Printer.
Choose the IP Address Type as either Dynamic or Static.
Click on Download NRD button to download the file consisting of all the commands and pre configured values.
If Things Gateway is not configured on the account, then the user gets prompted asking to enable the Things Gateway in the account settings.
- Once the file is downloaded, open the command prompt and execute the following command:
java -jar ZebraPrinter42GearsUtility.jar <IP_of_Printer>
- Enter 1 to transfer the NRD file to the Zebra printer.
- Enter the NRD file path and click Enter.
- Once the NRD file is successfully transferred to the printer, the user can see the success message as follows: “WEBLINK1_CA.NRD sent successfully”.
- Enter 2 to send the same NRD file to the printer again.
- Enter the NRD file path and click Enter.
Once the NRD file is successfully transferred to the Printer, the user can see the success message as follows: “Commands sent successfully”.
The Zebra printer will be successfully enrolled in the SureMDM console.
