Bluetooth Device Enrollment
SureMDM provides the capability to enroll Bluetooth peripherals like headsets and speakers through the Android Bluetooth Connector, facilitating their management remotely.
Prerequisites
- Enable Things Gateway in the SureMDM Console.
- Configure No Authentication in the SureMDM Console.
Follow the below steps to enroll the Bluetooth devices in the SureMDM console:
Download and install the Bluetooth Connector application on your Android device (The host device).
Connect the Bluetooth Peripherals like headsets, speakers, etc., to your Android device via Bluetooth.
Open the application from Step 1 to begin the enrollment process.
The application main screen presents the following information:
- Device Name - Shows the name of the Bluetooth device.
- Connection Status - Indicates whether the device is enrolled or not.
- Settings - Allows you to add and modify details for the SureMDM console.
- Sync Now - This enables you to synchronize the Bluetooth device with the SureMDM console.
From the main screen, select Settings.
Input the following information:
- Account ID: Enter the SureMDM Account ID and click OK.
Navigate to Settings on the top right corner of the SureMDM console to get the Account ID.
- Gateway Password - Enter the Things Gateway Password.
The Gateway Password can be copied from the Enable Things Gateway section.
- Server Path - Enter the SureMDM Server URL.
The server path can be copied from the SureMDM URL.
Return to the home screen to complete the enrollment process.
Once completed, you’ll see the connection status displayed on the home screen.
The Bluetooth device is now successfully enrolled in the SureMDM Web Console.
