Zebra Printer Enrollment (via Bluetooth)

The Zebra Printer Connector enables Bluetooth-based enrollment, facilitating the management of Zebra Printers and enhancing control and visibility within the SureMDM console. It allows seamless management and enrollment of multiple Zebra printers through the SureMDM console.

Prerequisite

  1. Things management must be enabled in SureMDM. Check out the steps here.
  2. The android device must be paired with the Zebra Printer. Check out the steps here.

Steps to Enroll the Printer to the Console

  1. Download the Zebra Printer Connector application on an Android device and Launch the application.

  2. On the Welcome screen, tap on the Get Started button.

  3. Enable all the permissions (Runtime Permissions, Display over other apps, Notification Access, Location Service) and tap Continue.

  4. On the Enrollment screen, enter the following details and tap Continue:

  • Server Path: URL of the SureMDM console for enrolling the Zebra printer.

The server path can be copied from the SureMDM URL.

  • Account ID: Unique identifier for the SureMDM account.

Navigate to Settings on the top right corner of the SureMDM console to get the Account ID.

  • Gateway Password: Secure password for connecting the Zebra printer to SureMDM.

The Gateway Password can be copied from the Enable Things Gateway section.

  1. Once the server connection is successful, the device gets enrolled to the SureMDM console displaying Online status on the console as well on the connector’s Home screen.

In case the connector still remains offline, you can tap on the Sync Now button to connect the device.

  1. Tap the Printers button on the Home screen to view the list of available printers. Tap the Settings button to access:
  • Account ID: Unique identifier for the SureMDM account managing the printer.
  • Server Path: URL of the SureMDM console for printer connection.
  • Gateway Password: Secure password for connecting the printer to the SureMDM console.
  • Device Status: Shows if the printer is online or offline.
  • Zebra Printer Connector Permission Checklist: Displays granted or not granted status of the required permissions for the connector.
