Miscellaneous Settings
SureMDM offers a range of miscellaneous settings that allow you to fine-tune and optimize your device management experience. These settings provide additional customization options and control over various aspects of SureMDM's functionality. It has the option to configure a few general settings, advanced device management settings, search settings, remote support settings, and more.
The following options are available in Miscellaneous Settings:

| Console Access to 42Gears Team | This option lets administrators grant the 42Gears Team temporary, limited Console access for troubleshooting or support. To know more, click here. |
| Enable Global Search | Search devices in all the groups/subgroups present in the console. |
| Enable Auto Search | Search will be initiated when you start typing the text in the Search box. |
| Allow 42Gears to silently push critical agent updates | Select this option to push the SureMDM Agent updates to the devices silently. Note: This feature is supported only on the Knox/Platform Signed/Device Owner devices. |
| Get Notified via Email | Select this option to notify the registered email address when an enrolled device sends a message to the SureMDM console. |
| Email ID | Enter the registered email ID |
| Temperature Unit | Displays battery temperature in Celsius(°C)/Fahrenheit (°F). |
| Disable NPS Survey | Disable NPS survey for all users. |
| Remote Support | |
| Use Advanced Remote Support | Select this option to activate remote support on Windows devices. |
| Use Old Remote Support (Windows Mobile) | Select this option to allow an older version of remote support for Windows Mobile/CE devices. |
| Don't Pause Screen Capture | When this option is disabled, after a specific time the remote screen will be paused. |
| Zip All Downloads | Select this option to zip the downloaded files by default. |
| Remote Session Idle Timeout | Choose the inactivity time in minutes. After the specified time of inactivity, the remote session will be terminated and a session expiry message will be displayed. |

| Secure Data Exported From SureMDM Server | Use this option to secure data that are exported from SureMDM by masking/hiding/deleting PII (Personal Identifier Information ) such as Full name, Email Address, IMEI, Phone number Sim Serial Number, WIFI MAC Address, and more. When any of these PII items are enabled on the device grid; and the report is downloaded/exported, you can see the PII details are masked/hidden/deleted on the downloaded CSV file. |

Console Access to 42Gears Team
This option allows administrators to grant temporary, restricted SureMDM Console access to the 42Gears Team for troubleshooting or support purposes. Access duration, permissions, and email details can be configured to ensure secure and limited access.
To provide SureMDM Console access to the 42Gears Team with restricted permissions, follow these steps:
- Log in to SureMDM Console and go to Account Settings > Miscellaneous Settings.
- Enter the Access Duration in hours.
- Enter the Email Address of 42Gears Team
- Turn on the Access State toggle.
- When the Configure Access Permissions pop-up appears, select the required permissions to provide access.
- Click Confirm.
- Read the Terms and Conditions, select the checkbox, and then click Accept.
Once access is successfully granted, the 42Gears Team can access SureMDM Console with temporary credentials.
