Customize Settings

SureMDM offers a range of customization options that allow you to tailor the settings, appearance, and behavior of the platform to meet your organization's specific needs. These customization features empower you to create a personalized device management experience. Following are the customizable options available under the customize settings:

  • Alert Template

  • Customize Toolbar

  • Customize SureMDM Agent/SureLock Android/Windows

Alert Template

In this section, admins can create custom template alert messages instead of default alert messages. To configure custom alert messages for the following options, navigate to the SureMDM console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the console) > Account Settings > Customize Settings > Alert Template.

  • Battery Policy

  • Connection Policy

  • Data Usage Policy

  • Notify when device comes online

  • Notify when SIM is changed

  • Notify when device is rooted or SureMDM Agent has been granted with root permission

  • Invite Users

  • Schedule Report

Customize Toolbar

SureMDM allows the admins to create a customized job that will be added to the Dynamic Jobs section of the SureMDM Web Console.

There are two types of jobs:

  1. Predefined Jobs - Jobs that are available by default.

  2. User defined Jobs - Admins can create a customized job with the desired icon.

To create a User defined job, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the console) > Account Settings > Customize Settings > Customize Toolbar.

  2. Under the User defined Jobs section, click Add.

  3. On the Add Jobs prompt,

    a. Enter a Name.

    b. Click Browse Icons and select the required icon image to be displayed for this job.

    c. Select a Job from the list.

    d. Click OK.

The customized job that was just created will appear in both the User Defined Jobs section and the Dynamic Jobs section.

Customize SureMDM Agent/SureLock for Android Devices

Using this option, admin can launch customizedSureMDM Agent Agent/SureLock applications on the end-user Android device(s). The customization includes changing the app title, editing the app settings and, configuring an icon for the app launcher.

To launch a customized SureMDM Agent/SureLock application on Android devices, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at top right of the screen) > Account Settings > Customize SureMDM Agent/SureLock > Android.

  2. Choose an application (SureMDM Agent / SureLock) from Select App drop-down menu.

App Download URL field is auto-populated on selecting an application from Select app field.

  1. Enter the desired App Title.

  2. In App Settings box, click Import Settings to import the app settings and click Edit Settings to edit the app settings.

  3. Upload a PNG image as App Launcher Icon.

  4. Click Generate to process the application.

  5. Click Download.

    An apk file will download. Using Install Application job, the application will be launched as a System App on the device.

Customize SureMDM Agent for Windows Devices

Using this option, admin can launch customized SureMDM Agent Agent applications on the end-user Windows device(s).

To launch a customized SureMDM Agent application on Windows devices, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the screen) > Account Settings > Customize SureMDM Agent/SureLock > Windows.

  2. Select SureMDM Agent app from Select App drop-down menu.

App Download URL field is auto-populated on selecting the application.

  1. In App Settings box, click Import Settings to import the app settings and click Edit Settings to edit the app settings.

  2. Click Generate to process the application.

  3. Click Download.

    An exe file will download. Using Install Application job, the application will be launched as a system app on the device.

This feature is supported on the Windows devices running SureMDM Agent v4.39 onwards.
