Global Settings

The Global Settings section in SureMDM enables administrators to configure organization-wide preferences and policies that apply across the device management environment. These settings help streamline device enrollment and customize the console experience to align with organizational requirements.

Acceptable Use Policy

In this section, the admin can define and configure the Acceptable Use Policy for device enrollment specific to their organization.

To define the Configure Acceptable Use Policy, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Account Settings (icon located at top right of the screen) > Global Settings > Acceptable Use Policy.

  1. Enable Display Acceptable Use Policy.

  2. Enter the policy in Acceptable Use Policy Text and click Save.

Group Assignment Rules

IT administrators can create rules to automatically move devices to a specific group based on device properties such as IP address, device model, and SSID. For information on how to create a group in SureMDM, see Device Groups.

The following options are available in the Group Assignment Rules section:

  • Enable/Disable - Enable/Disable the selected Group Assignment Rule.
  • Add - Add a Group Assignment Rule.
  • Edit - Modify the configured details of selected Rule.
  • Delete - Delete the selected Group Assignment Rule.
  • Export - Export one or more selected Group Assignment Rules to a CSV file. The exported file can be edited and later imported using the Plugins feature to update Group Assignment Rules in bulk.

To create group assignment rules, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the screen) > Account Settings > Global Settings > Group Assignment Rules.

  2. Select Enable Group Assignment Rule and click Add Rules.

  1. Enter a Rule Name.

  2. Click Source Group to select a group that you want to move from the Group List and click Add.

  3. Select Include Subgroups to apply the rules for groups and subgroups.

  4. Choose a device property from the drop-down menu, select a value, and define a rule:

  • Local IP Address
  • Global IP Address
  • Device Model
  • SSID
  • Hostname
  • Custom Columns

Admins can add multiple rules based on device properties.

  1. Click Destination Group and select a group from the Group List where the source group will be moved to, and then click Add.

  2. Click Save > Apply.

Branding Info

SureMDM allows widespread customization options. These options allow you to brand your tools and resources according to the color scheme, logo, and customized title on the title bar of the console.

To brand the SureMDM Web Console with desired text or a logo, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the screen) > Account Settings > Global Settings > Branding Info.

  1. Configure the following branding settings and click Apply.
  • Use Logo: Select this option to upload the logo of the company or any desired image file.

  • Logo Path: Allows to upload a required Logo image. The Logo Path option is visible only if the Use Logo option is enabled.

  • Message Footer: Enter the desired text to appear in the footer of all messages sent from the console
