SureMDM Agent Settings Job
The SureMDM Agent Settings job remotely configures the password settings for SureMDM Agent or updates the device name on enrolled device(s). By customizing password settings, administrators can ensure that devices maintain a high level of protection against unauthorized access and potential breaches.

Steps to Configure SureMDM Agent Settings
To create a job to remotely configure SureMDM Agent Settings on the enrolled device(s) or group(s), follow these steps:
Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > iOS/iPadOS > SureMDM Agent Settings.
Enter a Job Name.
Configure SureMDM Agent Settings and click Save.

Settings | Description |

Enrollment Type | Specify the Enrollment Type of the target device. - Device Enrollment: Device Enrollment job will be applied only to the device(s) enrolled through Device Enrollment mode. - User Enrollment: User Enrollment job can be applied to both User and Device Enrollments. |
Password Protect Agent Settings | Enforces a password for the Settings tab in SureMDM Agent. - Password: Specify the password. - Protection Type: Choose the protection type. - Protect both View and Edits: Prompts for a password when accessing the Settings section. - Protect only Edits: Prompts for a password when modifying settings. *(Supported from SureMDM Agent 4.68 onwards.) |
Change Device Name | Enforces a device name update with the selected option. Below options will be listed based on the selected Enrollment Type: Device Enrollment: - Use Serial Number - Use IMEI Number - Use MAC Address User Enrollment: - Use Managed Apple ID |
Display Unenroll Option | Allows end-users to unenroll from SureMDM. (Supported from SureMDM Agent 4.68 onwards.) |
The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPadOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.
