Location Tracking Job

The Location Tracking job allows administrators to offer real-time and historical location details for mobile devices.

Follow the below steps to create a Location Tracking Job:

  1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > iOS/iPadOS > Location Tracking.

  2. Enter the Job Name.

  3. In the Location Tracking prompt, select Enable Location Tracking.

  4. Select the following tracking option and click OK.

  • Time Interval - Select this option and enter the tracking periodicity in hours/minutes.

  • Distance Interval - Select this option and enter the minimum displacement in meter/kilometer/miles. 

    In the case where the user selects both Time and Distance intervals, the location will be modified based on whichever interval reaches its minimum value first.

    The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPadOS device(s) or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. Select the job under All Jobs/Profiles.

  4. Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
