Deploy Google Chrome Webclip

The Deploy Google Chrome job in SureMDM allows IT administrators to install the Google Chrome browser on managed iOS/iPad devices. This ensures all targeted devices have a secure and enterprise-ready version of Chrome.

Steps to Deploy Google Chrome Webclip Job​

To create a Google Chrome Webclip job and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > iOS/iPad > Deploy Google Chrome Webclip.

  2. In the Deploy Google Chrome dialog box, provide a Job Name.

  3. Click Save.

  4. The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.

  5. Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPad device(s) or group(s).

  6. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  7. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.

Post Deployment Action​

Once the job is deployed, Google Chrome will be seamlessly installed on devices by first deploying a web clip, enabling users to install the stable and enterprise-ready application via the App Store.

The installed version of Chrome will be the latest available at the time of deployment, and is a stable and enterprise-ready application.
