TSC Printer Enrollment

42Gears has integrated TSC printers with SureMDM to simplify device management and improve operational efficiency. Through this integration, IT teams can centrally enroll, configure, and monitor TSC printers from the SureMDM console. By enabling streamlined control and real-time visibility, enterprises can minimize manual effort, ensure reliable performance, and optimize printer deployment across varied business environments.

Enroll TSC Printer to SureMDM​

To enroll the TSC Printers in SureMDM Console, follow these steps:

Steps:

  1. Obtain the IP address from the printer by navigating to Menu > Interface > Ethernet > Status > IP Address

  2. Run this IP address in a browser to open the TSC tool and Login with the credentials.

The credentials vary for each printer and has to be configured by the customer at the initial setup.

  1. On the TSC web page, Click on Function and navigate to the MQTT Settings and enter the below configuration details and click on Set.

    • Server: It is the URL that allows the printer to communicate with external systems for centralized control, configuration sync, or data exchange.

      • The values vary based on the region as follows:
        • IN Region: mqttbrokerin.in.suremdm.io
        • EU Region: mqttbrokereu.eu.suremdm.io
        • US Region: mqttbrokerusdns.suremdm.io
        • US Master: mqttbrokerusmaster.42gears.com
        • EU2 Region: mqttbrokereu.eu2.suremdm.io
        • ME Region: mqttbrokerme.me.suremdm.io

    • Topic Prefix: It is the communication channel or subject identifier used in messaging protocols like MQTT.

      • The values are the same for all the regions, i.e., tsc

    • Port: It is the specific network port used by the TSC printers to communicate with the MQTT broker.

      • The values are the same for all the regions, i.e.,1884

    • TenantId: It is the SureMDM Account ID where the device has to be enrolled.

    Navigate to Settings on the top right corner of the SureMDM console to get the Account ID.

    • MQTT Username: It is the authentication credential used by the printer to connect securely to an MQTT broker or server.

      • Format: iot-<Account_id>

    Navigate to Settings on the top right corner of the SureMDM console to get the Account ID.

    • MQTT Password: It is the secure password for connecting the TSC printers to the SureMDM console.

    The Gateway Password can be copied from the Enable Things Gateway section.

  • If valid details are entered, the TSC printers will be successfully enrolled in the SureMDM console.
