Bixolon Printer Enrollment
42Gears has enabled seamless integration of Bixolon printers with the SureMDM console to simplify device management and improve operational efficiency. Through this integration, administrators can remotely enroll, configure, and monitor Bixolon printers from a single centralized platform. It provides enhanced visibility and control, helping reduce manual effort and maintain consistent printer performance across deployments. By managing Bixolon printers via SureMDM, organizations can streamline operations, reduce maintenance overhead, and ensure smooth and reliable printing processes.

Enroll Bixolon Printer to SureMDM
To enroll the Bixolon Printers in SureMDM Console, follow these steps:
Prerequisites
- Enable Things Gateway in the SureMDM Console.
- Configure No Authentication in the SureMDM Console.
- The host machine and TSC Auto ID printer should be connected to the same network.
Steps:
- Obtain the Printer’s IP address from the Bixolon printer display.
- Run this IP address in the browser to open the Bixolon tool and Log in using the credentials
Note: The default username “admin” and the password should be set by the user.
3. Click on the Configure tab in the Menu bar and Navigate to the Protocol Configuration
Settings and enable MQTT
4. Navigate to the MQTT Configuration settings to set up the MQTT by entering the following
details:
a. MQTT Broker Address - It is the host address or URL of the MQTT broker to connect to.
The values vary based on the region as follows:
- IN Region**: mqttbrokerin.in.suremdm.io
- EU Region: mqttbrokereu.eu.suremdm.io
- US Region: mqttbrokerusdns.suremdm.io
- US Master: mqttbrokerusmaster.42gears.com
- EU2 Region: mqttbrokereu.eu2.suremdm.io
- ME Region: mqttbrokerme.me.suremdm.io
b. MQTT Port - It is the network port used to establish communication between the device and the MQTT broker.
The values are the same for all the regions, i.e.,1884
c. MQTT User name - Username for authenticating with the MQTT broker.
- The value here is the SureMDM account ID where the device should be enrolled.
Navigate to Settings on the top right corner of the SureMDM console to get the Account ID.
d. MQTT User Password - Password for MQTT broker authentication.
- Value here is the MQTT Gateway password note
The Gateway Password can be copied from the Enable Things Gateway section.
e. MQTT Tenant ID - Identifier used to associate the device with a specific
tenant/environment.
- Value here is the SureMDM account ID
Navigate to Settings on the top right corner of the SureMDM console to get the Account ID.
f. MQTT QoS - Defines the message delivery guarantee level (0, 1, or 2)
Default and preferred value is 2.
Checkbox should be enabled for MQTT User name, MQTT Password and MQTT Tenant ID to enter the values.
- Click on the Configure button.
- If valid values are entered, the Bixolon printers should get successfully enrolled to the
SureMDM Console.
