SureMDM Agent Settings

The SureMDM Agent Settings job remotely configures or updates SureMDM Agent settings on the enrolled devices. This functionality is pivotal in streamlining the management process, allowing administrators to finely tune the behavior of the SureMDM Agent to align with specific operational requirements.

To create a job to remotely configure SureMDM Agent Settings on the enrolled device(s) or group(s), follow these steps:

1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > macOS> SureMDM Agent Settings.    

2. Enter a Job Name.

3. Configure SureMDM Agent Settings and click OK.

Unattended Remote Support
Use this option to set the remote control permissions on the device.
- Allow
- Deny
- Prompt
- Allow Silently (No notification)
Hide SureMDM JIT AdminWhen enabled, the JIT Access tab will be hidden to the users in the SureMDM Agent.
Allow JIT Request SubmissionWhen unchecked, end-users will not be able to submit Just-In Time requests from SureMDM Agent.
Maximum JIT Requests Per Day by UserSpecify the maximum number of JIT requests a user can submit per day.
Auto-Update of SureMDM AgentUse this option to configure the Auto-Update functionality
- Default - Account Level Settings: Agent update will happen based on account level settings configured at Apple Platform Management > Miscellaneous > macOS > Auto-Update of SureMDM Agent.
- Enabled: This will override the existing configuration available on account level settings and enforces automatic updates for the SureMDM Agent on a periodical basis.
- Disabled: This will override the existing configuration available on account level settings and does not auto-update the SureMDM Agent
Enable Password
The password can only be configured if this option is enabled.
- If enabled, then the user has to provide the password to uninstall the agent. This is supported on agent version 2.8.0 and above.
- The same password will be used for accessing the Settings tab and will be supported on agent version 3.1.0 and above.
Hide SureMDM Agent Icon In TaskbarSelect the option to hide the SureMDM agent icon in the taskbar.
Display un-enroll option
Allow end-users to perform the unenrollment from SureMDM.Supported from SureMDM Agent 5.5.1 onwards.

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

4. Go back to Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s).

5. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

6. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.

  • SureMDM Agent Settings is supported on macOS agent versions 2.8.0 and above.
  • Unattended Remote Support is supported on macOS agent versions 3.1.0 and above
  • Allow Silently (No Notification) option in Unattended Remote Supported is supported on macOS agent version 3.3.0 and above.
