Data Analytics Policy Job

The Data Analytics Policy job allows administrators to view the Application Usage Summary aka ScreenTime Events and Device Events.

Follow the below steps to create a Data Analytics Policy Job:

  1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > macOS > Data Analytics Policy.

  2. Configure the following Data Analytics Policy settings and click OK:

  • Job Name - Enter a name for the job.
  • Analytics Type: Enable this option to collect Device Events like login, logout, restart, shutdown, etc.
  • Enable Data Analytics - Allows to configure Data Analytics settings.
  • Secret Key - Enter the Secret Key. The Secret Key has to be fetched from the below navigation path:
    • SureMDM Console > Settings (icon located at the top right of the screen) > User Management > Account Settings > Data Analytics > SureLock / App Usage Analytics (to be checked) > Secret Key > Show.
    • SureLock / App Usage Analytics should be checked to enable the app usage tracking.

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. Select the job under All Jobs/Profiles.

  4. Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
