Deploy Google Chrome

The Deploy Google Chrome job in SureMDM allows IT administrators to install the Google Chrome browser on managed macOS devices. This ensures all targeted devices have a secure and enterprise-ready version of Chrome.

Steps to Deploy Google Chrome Webclip Job​

To create a Google Chrome job and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > macOS > Deploy Google Chrome Webclip.

  2. In the Deploy Google Chrome dialog box, provide a Job Name.

  3. Click Save after acknowledging terms and conditions of Google.

  4. The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.

  5. Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS device(s) or group(s).

  6. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  7. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.

Post Deployment Action​

Once deployed, the job silently installs Google Chrome on the assigned devices. Users are not required to take any action during the installation process.

The installed version of Chrome will be the latest available at the time of deployment, and is a stable and enterprise-ready application.
