File Transfer Job

The File Transfer job allows administrators to efficiently transfer files to enrolled devices or groups from a SureMDM console. Administrators can use the File Transfer job to securely and conveniently deliver files to designated devices or groups, eliminating the need for physical transfer methods.

To create a File transfer job and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > macOS > File Transfer.
  2. On the Configure Job screen, enter a Job Name and click Add.
  3. In the File Transfer Properties prompt, enter the following details and click Save:
  • File: Browse and select the file from the system or specify the link where the file is hosted.
  • File Path: Browse and select the file from the system or specify the link where the file is hosted.
  • URL: Specify the URL where the file(s) are hosted.
    • On selecting the URL, the following options need to be selected:
    • File Name: Enter the file name.
    • File Extension: Enter the File extension.
    • Device Path: Enter the device location path for the file to save.

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the macOS or group(s).
  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
  3. Select the job under All Jobs/Profiles.
  4. Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
