Remote Buzz (Android)
When a device is lost or misplaced, Remote Buzz job helps admin to locate the device by pushing a job which forces it to make a sound.
To create a Remote Buzz job to locate the device and deploy it to the device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:
On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > Android > Remote Buzz.
Configure the Remote Buzz and click Save.
Settings | Description |
---|---|
Job Name | Enter a name for the Job. |
Buzz Duration | Specify the duration for which the device should buzz. The minimum value is 1 second. |
Buzz Volume | Choose between using the current device volume or a custom volume level for the buzz. |
Volume Level | Specify the buzz volume level. This setting is applicable only when Custom Volume is selected. |
Lock Buzz Volume | Locks the buzz volume at the specified level for a defined duration to prevent changes. |
Buzz Volume level and Lock Buzz Volume features are supported on the devices running SureMDM Agent v27.07.00 onwards.
The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the Android device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt .
In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.
