Lost Mode (Android)

The Lost Mode Job helps the admin remotely lock a lost or stolen device, display a custom message with contact details, enable location, and enforce a secure password to protect sensitive data on the enrolled device(s).

To create a Lost mode job and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > Android > Lost Mode.  

2. Configure the Lost Mode and click Save.

Job Name Enter a name for the Job
Lost ModeToggle to activate Lost Mode.
Lock Screen MessageSets a custom message on the device's lock screen while in Lost Mode.
Enable LocationEnables the location to track the current location of the device.
Lock DeviceImmediately locks the device to prevent unauthorized access.
Change PasswordEnable to set a secure password on the device during Lost Mode.
Enter Device PasswordEnter the new password to be applied to the device.
note
  • ”Lock Screen Message” is supported only on Fully Managed devices.
  • This job is supported only on Android SureMDM Agent version 27.48.00 and above.

 The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

3.  Go back to the Home tab and select the Android device(s) or group(s).

4.  Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

5.  In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job(s) and click Apply.
