QR Code Enrollment for iOS, macOS, Windows

QR code enrollment is a simple and efficient method to enroll devices across iOS/iPadOS, macOS, and Windows in SureMDM. By scanning or uploading a QR code within the SureMDM Agent, each device is automatically enrolled with the SureMDM server, eliminating the need for manual configuration. This streamlined process allows for quick enrollment and management, minimizing user intervention and ensuring a smooth setup.

Follow the steps below to enroll your device using a QR code:

  1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Enrollment > QR Code Enrollment > List View > New.

  2. On the Setup QR Code for Enrollment popup, under the Enrollment Type tab. Enter the name of the QR code and select the desired platform:

  • iOS/iPadOS
  • macOS
  • Windows
  1. Select the appropriate Enrollment Type based on the selected platform:
  • iOS/iPadOS Device Enrollment
  • macOS Device Enrollment
  • Windows Dual Enrollment

  1. Click Next.

  2. Under the Configure Options tab, enter or select the required details and click Next:

  • Select Group - Select or add the group to which the device will be enrolled.
  • Select Device Name - Select the device name parameter from the drop-down.
  • Expiry Date & Time - Add the expiry date and time.
  • Maximum Number of Devices - Specify the maximum number of devices that are allowed to be enrolled using the QR code.

  • Supported from SureMDM Agent v4.70 onwards for iOS/iPadOS.
  • Supported from SureMDM Agent 5.6.0 onwards for macOS.
  • Supported from SureMDM Agent 5.8 onwards for Windows.

  1. In the Save QR Code tab, click Save.

    A newly created QR code will be listed under the table list in the QR Code Enrollment page.

  2. Click Download / Print to download or print the QR code after selecting any of the created entries from the table.
