Device Filter
SureMDM allows you to narrow down the search results that match particular criteria using the Filter option. You can create filters to view only the devices you want to see in the Device Grid. The Filter section can create a customized view of deployed devices based on their status, device name, model name, IP address, or settings. The admins will save time by easily and quickly identifying groups of devices with just one click.
When the Filter option is selected, SureMDM automatically switches to Advanced search mode.
Create the Filter
Create the filter in the SureMDM console to identify the devices easily. To create the filter, follow these steps:
Navigate to the SureMDM Console > Home Page.
Click Filter from the left panel.
Click + to add a new filter.
Fill in the necessary fields on the available columns to generate the query.
Once done, navigate to Device Toolbar and click Save Filter.
In the Device Filter prompt, enter a Filter Name and click OK.
Use Clone Filter option to duplicate the existing filter
Update/Rename a Filter
Existing filters can be modified to adjust their search criteria as your needs change. Updating a filter preserves the filter name while changing the underlying query.
To update an existing filter:
Navigate to the SureMDM Console > Home Page.
Click Filter from the left panel.
Select the filter you want to update from the list.
Modify the query by adding, removing, or updating filter columns and criteria.
Once your changes are complete, navigate to the Device Toolbar and click Update Filter.
Click OK to confirm the changes.
The filter has been updated with the new criteria. The next time you select this filter, it will display devices matching the updated query.
To rename an existing filter:
Navigate to the SureMDM Console > Home Page.
Click Filter from the left panel.
Select the filter you want to rename from the list.
Click Update/Rename
In the Update/Rename prompt, clear the existing filter name and enter the desired name in the Filter Name field.
Click OK.
Delete a Filter
Filters that are no longer needed can be permanently removed from the Filter panel. Deleting a filter does not affect any devices—it only removes the saved query.
To delete a filter:
Navigate to the SureMDM Console > Home Page.
Click Filter from the left panel.
Select the filter you want to delete from the list.
Click the delete icon.
Confirm the deletion request.
Filter deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you need the filter again, you will need to recreate it from scratch.
