Configure Notification Settings Profile
Notification Profile allows administrators to customize notification settings for specific apps on a macOS device. It functions as a Device Profile payload.
To create a profile to configure notifications on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:
On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Profiles > iOS/iPadOS > Add > Notification Profile > Configure.
Enter a Profile Name and click Add.
In the Add App prompt, configure the below options and click Add.
Settings | Description |

App Name | Select the app from the provided list or you can also add an app by providing App Name and Bundle ID. |
Allow Notifications | Allows notification to be enabled or disabled. |
Alert Type | Controls Alert style when unlocked. Choose the alert type from the below options. None - Notifications don’t appear on the screen Temporary Banner - Notifications appear on the screen and disappear after a while Persistent Banner - Notifications stay on the screen until dismissed |
Allow Sound | Allows sound for the app notification. |
Allow Badging | Allows the app to show the badge count of notifications. |
Show in Notification Center | Allows notification to be displayed in the Notification Centre. |
Show in Lock Screen | Allows notification to appear on the Lock Screen. |
Preview Type | Allows a preview in notifications for the app or website. Choose the Preview type from the below options: - Always - Always show previews (even in the login window) - When unlocked- Show previews only when you’re logged in to your user account - Never - Never show previews |
Allow Critical Alert | Allows the app to send a notification as a critical alert that ignores Do Not Disturb and ringer settings. |
Grouping Type | Specifies how notifications are grouped for the app in the Notification Centre |
Show in Car Play | Choose whether Notifications can appear in CarPlay |
The added configuration will be reflected in the table section.
- Click Save.
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPadOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
- In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
