Configure Allowed/Blocked Applications
Admins can allow or deny access to certain applications on the enrolled device.
Configure Blocklisting of Apps
Using this profile, you can effectively deactivate specific applications on iOS devices, rendering their app icons invisible and preventing their functionality from being accessible on the device screen.
To disable desired applications remotely on the enrolled devices, follow these steps:
Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > iOS/iPadOS > Add > Allowed/Blocked Applications > Blocklist Apps Configure > Add.
In the Application List prompt, choose the app from the drop-down list.
App Id is auto-populated when App Name is selected.
The selected app will be listed under the Blocklist Apps section.
Enter a Profile Name and click Save.
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPadOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
Select the profile under All Jobs/Profiles.
Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
Configure Allowlisting of Apps
This profile grants administrators to create a list of approved apps, customizing the device's functionality to align with organizational needs and user requirements.
To allow only desired applications remotely on the enrolled devices, follow these steps:
Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > iOS/iPadOS > Add > Allowed/Blocked Applications > Allowlist Apps Configure > Add.
In the Application List prompt, choose the app from the drop-down list.
App ID is auto-populated when App Name is selected.
The selected app will be listed under the Allowlist Apps section.
Enter a Profile Name and click Save.
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section .
Go back to the Home tab and select the iOS/iPadOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
Select the profile under All Jobs/Profiles.
Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
Contacts and Settings are two native apps that cannot be blocked. Admin can use the Restrictions Profile option to disable specific features under Settings.
