Causal Job (Linux)

Causal Job allows the user to deploy a combination of jobs or profiles that have custom properties added to them. A causal job enables you to deploy a combination of existing job types, such as install, send a message, run a script, and more, on the enrolled device(s) with a single click.

The SureMDM Agent will monitor the custom properties of the jobs used in the Causal Job. When the values are changed, the SureMDM Agent will reapply the jobs on the device.

note

Admins cannot add folders or more than one profile to the causal job.

To create a causal job and push it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > Linux > Causal Job.

2. In the Configure Job screen, enter a Job Name and click Add.

     Note:

  • The Add Delay option will delay for the specified time on executing the job.

3.  In the Select Job(s) To Add prompt, select the job(s).

note

Use the Ctrl key to select multiple jobs.

4. Go back to the Configure Job screen.

note

Use the controls, Move Up and Move Down to prioritize the desired jobs in a sequence.
