Generate Analytics Report for Browser Usage

42Gears Analytics Engine has the ability to track and monitor data based on browsing activities performed on any browser of an enterprise iOS device. 

To generate a custom report for browser usage, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at top right of the screen) > Account Settings > Data Analytics.

  2. Select Enable Data Analytics to configure analytics settings.

  3. Click Add Analytics.

  4. Enter Analytic Name, Tag Name as url_host and click Add Field to select report fields.

(Field is the analytics parameter. For example: Device Name, and Time. These fields create different columns in the report which makes it easier for the user to understand the data.)

  1. Enter Field Name, select the Field Type and click Add. 

  2. Click Show to reveal the Secret Key to authenticate the profile, note it down and click Save.

Secret key is the authentication key which extracts the browsed data from browser to display in the data analytics report.

Analytics Settings will be saved.

  1. To apply the settings, click Apply at the bottom of the screen. 

    Setting will be updated.

  2. Create a Data Analytics Policy job. 

     Job will be created.

9.  Go to Reports and select Custom Reports /Schedule Reports to generate the report.

Devices will send Analytics data to the SureMDM server every 12 hours.
