Lock Screen & Password (Android)
The Lock Screen & Password job remotely locks the device or changes the existing device password. This feature is helpful when an enrolled device is lost or stolen. This capability serves as a security measure to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access in situations where a device is lost, stolen, or considered at risk.
To create a job to lock the device and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:
1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > Android > Lock Screen & Password.
2. Configure the Lock Screen & Password and click Save.
Settings | Description |
---|---|

Lock the Device | Locks the device immediately upon job execution. |

- The 'Lock the Device' option will work only when a password is already configured and enabled on the device.

The newly created job will get listed in the Jobs List section.
