License Management - Global

Overview​

A Global License is a centralized subscription-level license pool with a single expiry date. It allows administrators to purchase and assign licenses to customers from one master pool for streamlined management.

The License Management page is broken down into 3 parts:

  • Global License Information

  • License Count Breakdown

  • Renewal & License Alerts

A. Global License Information

This section provides a high-level overview of subscription details, enabling quick visibility into overall license consumption and validity status through the following information:

  • Expiry Date – The overall license validity end date.

  • Total Device Licenses Allocated – Displays the number of device licenses used out of total purchased.

    Format: [X Used] of [Y Purchased]

  • Total Things Licenses Allocated – Displays the number of things licenses used out of total purchased.

    Format: [X Used] of [Y Purchased]

  • Total VR Licenses Allocated – Displays the number of VR licenses used out of total purchased.

    Format: [X Used] of [Y Purchased]

B. License Count Breakdown

This section provides category-wise distribution of licenses as follows:

  • Device License Count - Standard, Premium, and Enterprise tiers are displayed based on the licenses purchased under the subscription.

  • Things License Count - Standard, Premium, and Enterprise tiers are displayed based on the licenses purchased under the subscription.

  • VR License Count - Standard, Premium, and Enterprise tiers are displayed based on the licenses purchased under the subscription.

Each row displays the number of licenses used out of the total allocated for that specific tier in the format [X Used] of [Y Purchased]

C. Renewal & License Alerts

This section enables administrators to proactively manage license renewals and configure availability thresholds, helping prevent service disruptions caused by license exhaustion through the following alerts:

  • Send me renewal alert for expiry date - Checkbox to enable email notification reminders before the subscription expires.

  • Enable License Alert - Checkbox to activate threshold-based alerts for low license availability.

  • Alert Threshold Configuration

    • Trigger alert when Device Licenses Available falls below a defined value.
    • Trigger alert when Things Licenses Available falls below a defined value.
    • Trigger alert when VR Licenses Available falls below a defined value.

Action Buttons​

  • Update - Button to save any changes made to alert settings or threshold configurations.

  • Configure License Key - Button to allow administrators to add or update the license key associated with the subscription.
