License Management - Batch
Overview
A Batch License is a set of licenses purchased under a specific order or License ID, each with its own validity and usage tracking. Multiple batches can exist under one account, enabling separate tracking of licenses bought at different times or renewal cycles.
Accessing License Management
To access License Management:
Log in to the SureMDM Console
Navigate to License Management from the left-hand menu
The page displays a tabular list of license details of the customers associated with the SureMDM Hub:
Customer Name - Name of the customer
Account ID - Unique identifier of the customer
License Type - Type of license tier (Enterprise / Standard / Premium / Trial)
Device License Used - Number of device licenses consumed out of total allocated
Things License Used - Number of Things licenses consumed out of total allocated
VR License Used - Number of VR licenses consumed out of total allocated
Expiry Date - License validity end date.
Color-coded highlights are applied to the Expiry Date column values to provide a quick visual indication of license status, as detailed below:
Green Highlight - Indicates the license is active and valid.
Yellow / Amber Highlight - Indicates the license is approaching expiry in 60 days.
Orange Highlight - Indicates the license is approaching expiry in 30 days.
Red Highlight - Indicates the license has expired.
No Highlight - Indicates Trial accounts.

Key Actions
The following actions are available on the License Management page:
License Alert - Feature to configure alerts when available licenses drop below a set limit.
View Orders - Displays the complete history of license purchase orders and their status.
Refresh - Reload latest license data.
Search Bar - Search customer accounts using Customer Name, Account ID or License Type.
Manage Trial Expiry - Allows administrators to modify the validity period of a customer’s trial license.
View All - Provides a consolidated view of all subscription licenses, including usage, validity, and status details.
Pagination and Navigation - View the total number of customer licenses, select page size (e.g., 15 records per page), and use navigation controls (First, Previous, Next, Last)
License Alert
The License Alert popup allows administrators to configure threshold-based alerts for license availability. It enables proactive monitoring by notifying users when available licenses (Device, Things, or VR) fall below a defined limit. This feature helps prevent service disruption due to license exhaustion.
Required Fields
The following information must be provided to set a license alert:
Enable License Alert - Checkbox to activate or deactivate license alerts.
- When checked → Alert monitoring is enabled.
- When unchecked → No alerts will be triggered regardless of thresholds.
Device License Threshold
Field Label: Alert me when 'Device Licenses Available' is less than [ X ]
Numeric input field that defines minimum available device licenses before triggering alerts.
Example: If set to 10 → Alert triggers when available device licenses drop below 10.
- Things License Threshold
Field Label: Alert me when 'Things Licenses Available' is less than [ X ]
- Numeric input field that defines minimum available Things licenses before triggering alerts.
- VR License Threshold
Field Label: Alert me when 'VR Licenses Available' is less than [ X ]
- Numeric input field that defines minimum available VR licenses before triggering alerts.
Action Buttons
- Save - Button to save the configured alert thresholds.
- Close (X) - Icon allows users to exit the License Alert screen.
View Orders
The View Orders screen provides a consolidated view of all license purchase records associated with customer accounts. This screen enables administrators to track license procurement history, order status, and subscription details.
Data Grid
The main section displays a tabular view of license orders with the following columns:
Order ID: Unique system-generated identifier for each license order.
Order Date: Date on which the order was placed.
Order Placed By: Email ID of the user who initiated the order.
License Tier Type: Subscription tier (e.g., Enterprise / Standard / Premium)
License Type: Type of license purchased (e.g., Device / Things / VR / SureAccess / SureIDP)
License Count: Number of licenses purchased in the order
Status: Current order status (e.g.,Approved)
Action Date: Date on which the order was processed or approved
Subscription Type: The duration under which the license has been purchased. (e.g., Monthly / Annually / 3 Years / 5 Years)
Other Actions
Search Bar - Allows users to search orders by Order ID, Order Placed By, License Tier Type, License Type, or Subscription Type.
Refresh - Reloads the latest order data from the system.
Pagination and Navigation - View the total number of orders, select page size (e.g., 10 records per page), and use navigation controls (First, Previous, Next, Last)
Close (X) - Allows users to exit the View Orders screen.
Manage Trial Expiry
The Manage Trial Expiry modal allows administrators to modify trial license settings for a customer account. It enables controlled adjustment of trial license validity and allocation.
The modal supports two actions:
Reduce Trial Expiry
Extend Trial Expiry
Reduce Trial Expiry
Allows administrators to reduce the trial duration or adjust trial license allocations before expiry.
Required Fields
The following information must be provided to reduce the trial expiry :
Select Action - Mandatory dropdown with value: Reduce Trial Expiry
Device License Count - Editable field (via edit icon) to enter the total required trial device licenses.
Things License Count - Editable field (via edit icon) to enter the total required Things trial licenses.
VR License Count - Editable field (via edit icon) to enter the total requiredVR trial licenses.
The entered value should be within the threshold value, i.e., 100 for Device License, 50 for Things License and 5 for VR License.
Right-side indicator shows usage format: [X] Used of [Y] Allocated
- Expiry Date - Date picker field to allow the administrator to set a new (earlier) expiry date.
The selected date should be within the 30-day limit.
Action Buttons
Cancel - Closes popup without saving changes.
Save - Applies updated trial configuration.
Close (X) - Allows users to exit the Manage Trial Expiry screen.
Extend Trial Expiry
Allows administrators to extend the validity period of a customer’s trial license.
Required Fields
The following information must be provided to extend the trial expiry :
Select Action - Mandatory dropdown with value: Extend Trial Expiry
Expiry Date - Date picker to select the new extended expiry date.
The selected date should be within the 90-day limit.
- Reason - Mandatory text field for the admin to justify extending the trial period.
Action Buttons
Cancel - Discards changes.
Save - Applies the trial extension.
Close (X) - Allows users to exit the Manage Trial Expiry screen.
View All
The View All action opens a License Overview screen that provides a consolidated view of all licenses associated with the selected subscription. It enables administrators to monitor license allocation, usage, validity, and status in a single interface.
Data Grid
The main section displays a tabular view of license details with the following columns:
License ID – Unique identifier for each license.
License Type – Category of license (e.g., Device / Things / VR / SureAccess / SureIdP).
Total Count – Total number of licenses purchased.
Used Count – Number of licenses currently consumed.
Purchased Date – Date when the license was procured.
Expiry Date – Date on which the license validity ends.
License Status – Current state of the license (e.g., Licensed).
Above the data grid, a Subscription Indicator displays the active subscription type (e.g., Enterprise / Standard / Premium) for which license details are being viewed.
Other Actions
Search Bar - Allows users to search orders by License ID, Count, License Type etc.
Refresh - Reloads the latest license data from the system.
Pagination and Navigation - View the total number of associated licenses, select page size (e.g., 10 records per page), and use navigation controls (First, Previous, Next, Last)
Close (X) - Allows users to exit the License Overview screen.
