Configure a Wi-Fi Network

Admins can add and configure multiple Wi-Fi networks.

To add a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:

  1. On the SureLock Home Screen, launch WiFi Center plug-in app.

  2. On the WiFi Center screen tap Add icon.

  3. On the Wi-Fi network prompt, congigure the following deatils:

Network SSIDEnter the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network to which the device should connect.
Security
NoneConnects to an open network without authentication.
WEPRequires a WEP password for authentication.
Password – Enter the WEP key.
WPA/WPA2 PSKSecured network using a pre-shared key.
Password – Enter the WPA/WPA2 password.
802.1x EAPEnterprise-level authentication using Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP). Select one EAP Method.
  • PEAP
    • Phase 2 Authentication Method - Select None, PAP, MSCHAP, MSCHAPV2, or GTC.
    • CA Certificate - Enter the certificate alias for authentication.
    • Identity - Enter the username.
    • Anonymous Identity - Enter an anonymous identity.
    • Password - Enter the password.
  • TLS
    • CA Certificate - Enter the certificate alias.
    • User Certificate - Enter the user certificate alias.
    • Identity - Enter the identity.
  • TTLS
    • Phase 2 Authentication Method - Select None, PAP, MSCHAP, MSCHAPV2, or GTC.
    • CA Certificate - Enter the certificate alias.
    • Identity - Enter the username.
    • Anonymous Identity - Enter an anonymous identity.
    • Password - Enter the password.
  • PWD
    • Identity - Enter the username.
    • Password - Enter the password.
  • SIM
    • SIM Slot - Select SIM Slot 1 or SIM Slot 2 for authentication.
  • AKA
    • SIM Slot - Select SIM Slot 1 or SIM Slot 2 for authentication.
Hidden NetworkSelect Yes if the SSID is hidden, or No if the SSID is visible.
Advanced Options
Use Proxy
  • Proxy Name - Enter the proxy server address.
  • Proxy Port - Enter the proxy server port number.
  • Bypass Proxy For - Specify domains that should bypass the proxy.
IP Settings
  • DHCP – Automatically assigns IP settings.
  • Static - Manually configure network settings:
    • IP Address - Enter the device IP address.
    • Gateway - Enter the gateway address.
    • Network Prefix Length - Specify the subnet prefix length.
    • DNS1 / DNS2 – Enter primary and secondary DNS server addresses.
