Lock Device (Windows CE)

The Lock Device job allows administrators to remotely lock a device, which proves particularly useful in situations where the device has been misplaced or stolen. By using this job, administrators can ensure that unauthorized access to the device is prevented, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining security. 

To create a job to lock the device and deploy it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > Windows CE > Lock Device. 

  2. In the Lock Job prompt, enter a Job Name and click OK.

Password should be configured and enabled to access the device.

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the Windows CE device(s) or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. Select the job under All Jobs/Profiles.

  4. Click Apply in the Apply/Profile To Device prompt.
