Text Message (Wear OS)

The Text Message Job helps the admins remotely send text messages or broadcast messages on the enrolled device(s).

To create a job that composes a message and deploys it to the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > Android Wear OS> Text Message.

  2. In the Create Text Message prompt, enter the following details and click OK:

  • Job Name: Enter a name for the Job.
  • Subject: Enter the subject for the message.
  • Message: Enter the message to convey.
  • Get Read Notification: Select this option to get confirmation of the message read by the end user.
  • Force Read Message: Select this option to force the device users to read the message. A message prompt will appear on the device user's screen.
  • Enable Buzz: Initiates a buzzing sound for the specified duration when the device receives a message.
  • Close Message: Closes the message pop-up after the specified duration when the device receives a message.
note
  • Enable Buzz and Close Message Popup work on Android SureMDM Agent Version 13.29 onwards.
  • Rich Text Message works on Android SureMDM Agent Version 13.47 onwards.

  The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the Android Wear device(s) or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.
