Notification Policy (Wear OS)

SureMDM allows the admin to create notification policies for enrolled devices. Once this job is deployed to the enrolled device, automatic notifications will be sent when the device goes against the defined policies in the notification policy job.

To configure the Notification Policy on the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Jobs > New Job > Android Wear OS> Notification Policy.    

  2. Configure the Notification Policy settings and click OK.

  • Job Name: Enter a name for the Job.
  • Disable Notification Policy: Select this option to disable all the notification settings for a specific Job.
  • Enable Battery Policy: Select this option to set the battery threshold value (in %). This option notifies the users (Device/Admin/E-mail address) when an enrolled device battery power falls below the set threshold.
  • Enable Connection Policy: Select this option to set the time (in min). This option notifies the users (Device/Admin/Email address) when an enrolled device shows offline in the Console beyond the specified period.
  • Enable Data Usage Policy: Select this option to set the data usage (in KB/MB/GB). This option notifies the users (Device/Admin/E-mail address) when an enrolled device data consumption exceeds the set threshold.
  • Notify when the device comes online: This option notifies the users. (device/admin/e-mail address) when an enrolled device comes online after being offline.
  • Notify when SIM is changed: This option notifies the user (device/admin/e-mail address) when an enrolled device’s sim card is changed.
  • Send Alert to: Admins can configure the alert notification to the following options:
  •  SureMDM Web Console - Admins can see the messages in the SureMDM inbox section.  
  •  Device: The Device user can see the messages in the SureMDM Agent’s inbox section.
  •  E-Mail Notification - Recipient of the configured email address
  •  SMS Notification - Recipient of the configured Mobile Number
  •  Webhook - Webhook Endpoint that captures device-related events in real-time

 The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the Android Wear OS device(s) or group(s). 

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.
