Configure Security
The Security Profile enables admins to configure the Gatekeeper Settings and other Security settings. This feature iss useful in enterprise environments to control which applications can be installed or launched on devices.
Gatekeeper Setting configuration is only applicable for Device Profile.
To configure a Security profile on the enrolled device, follow these steps:
Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > macOS > Add > Security > Configure.
Enter a Profile Name.
In the Gatekeeper Settings section.

Configure Gatekeeper | Enable this option to configure the Gatekeeper settings. |
Allow Apps downloaded from | Select the allowable application launch source. - App Store - App Store and identified developers - Anywhere |
Don't allow user to override Gatekeeper Setting | Specify whether user should be prevented from using Control-click to open an unidentified app or from installing an app using the Installer app |
- In the Other Security Settings section.

Allow user to unlock the Mac using Apple Watch | Specify whether users can unlock their Mac with Apple Watch. |
- Click Save after the configurations.
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
