Wi-Fi Configuration
The Wi-Fi Configuration Profile empowers administrators to efficiently distribute wireless network settings to enrolled devices. By following these steps, administrators can seamlessly configure Wi-Fi details, including SSID, password, and security type, ensuring devices connect to the desired network automatically. This simplifies network setup and enhances device connectivity.
To push the Wi-Fi configuration to the enrolled devices, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > Linux > Add > Wi-Fi Configuration > Configure.
2. Enter a Profile Name and click Add.
3. Configure Wi-Fi settings and click Add > Save.
Settings | Description |
---|---|
Wi-Fi SSID | Enter the SSID name of the desired network. |
Wi-Fi Password | Enter the password. |
Security Type | Select the security type for the network: Open WEP WPA PSK |
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
4. Go back to the Home tab and select Linux device(s) or group(s).
5. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
6. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job and click Apply.
