App Store for iOS

SureMDM's iOS App Store feature presents a complete solution for efficient app management and deployment on iOS devices within an enterprise environment. This specialized App Store simplifies the process of distributing, monitoring, and controlling applications, ensuring a seamless user experience and heightened security.

Create an Enterprise App Store (iOS)​

To create an enterprise App Store, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > App Store > iOS > Add New App.

  2. In the Select Options prompt, select the desired option from the following to add the application:

  • Upload ipa
  • Manifest Link
  • Search from App Store
  • Web App

Upload ipa​

  • Click Browse File to select and upload the .ipa file.
  • Enter the Manifest Link to add the application.

Search from App Store​

  • Enter the App Name.
  • Select the Application Type as Universal/iPad Only from the drop-down menu.
  • Select the country and click Search, located near the App Name.
  • Select the Application and click Add.

Web App​

  • Enter the Title of the application.
  • Enter the web application link in the Web Link field.
  • Enter the Category and Description.
  • Browse and select the image for the logo.
  • Once done, click Add.

Once the app is successfully added, it will start reflecting on the App Store screen.

Admins can upload multiple versions of the same app.

Create and Deploy Application Policy Profile (iOS)​

To create and deploy Application Policy profile on the enrolled devices, see Configure Application Policy Profile (iOS).

Once the profile is successfully deployed, the device(s) will have a new app with a list of approved apps that the users can browse and install.

Distribute iOS Apps Using Volume Purchase Program (VPP)​

SureMDM offers support for Volume Purchase Program (VPP), a quick and easy way for enterprises to purchase and distribute iOS apps in a bulk. VPP offers businesses the flexibility to purchase apps in volume and distribute them via thinpm rd-party EMM solutions directly to the employee devices.

Purchased app licenses can be distributed directly to the end users in any one of three ways: User Assignment, Device Assignment, or Redemption codes. In case the device is lost or stolen, the apps can be reassigned to another device.

Users can start enrolling into Volume Purchase Program by creating an Apple Business Manager account.

iOS app licenses can be assigned to the devices easily using SureMDM through the following steps:

  1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Settings (icon located at top right of the screen) > Account Settings > iOS/iPadOS/macOS Settings > VPP.

  2. Browse and upload the token.

After enrolling the business with VPP, users can follow below mentioned steps to Download Token and save the token for future reference.1. Sign into Apple Business Manager* *portal with Apple ID credentials.2. Click Settings > Apps and Books > Download.

  1. Create an Application Policy profile and deploy it to the devices. See Configure Application Policy Profile (iOS).
