Configure Network Settings Profile (Android Enterprise)
Network Settings allows the administrator to configure policies for network connections on the enrolled devices.
To remotely configure the Network Settings profile on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:
1. Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > Android > Add > Primary Profile > Network Settings > Configure.
2. Enter a Profile Name.
3. In the Network Settings screen, enter the following details and click Save.

| Proxy Settings | |
| Proxy Type | Select Manual or Auto proxy type to configure with the VPN. If selected: Note: This feature is supported on Fully Managed Device, Work Profile and Fully Managed Device With A Work Profile mode. |
| Proxy Server and Port | Enter the hostname or IP address and port number for the proxy server. |
| Exclusion List | Set the hostnames to prevent them from routing through the proxy. This feature will be available only on devices running SureMDM Agent version 27.19.52 and above. Applicable only for Fully Managed Device. |
| VPN Settings | |
| Set always-on VPN | Select this option to keep VPN always ON. Note: This feature is supported on Fully Managed Device, Work Profile and Fully Managed Device With A Work Profile mode. |
| Package Name | Enter a Package Name. |
| Disable network access when VPN is not connected | Select this option to disable the network connection when a VPN is not connected. |
| Revoke When Not Compliant | Revoke the configuration if the device is out of compliance. |
| Private DNS Settings | |
| Set Private DNS Mode | Use this option to configure automatic or Private DNS on a device Note: The choices Automatic and Private DNS provider hostname are applicable to devices enrolled as Device Owner with SureMDM Agent v26.00.97 on Android OS v9.0 and above. The Off option is applicable to devices enrolled as Device Owner with SureMDM Agent v27.35.09 on Android OS v10.0 and above. |
| Enhanced Network Slicing | |
| Enterprise Slice | Enables enterprise slicing on 5G network devices to create secure virtual networks on shared infrastructure, optimizing performance, QoS, and resource allocation for a wide range of applications. Supported on Fully Managed and WPCO devices running Android Version 12 and above with SureMDM Agent v27.35.09. |
| Select Apps Type | Select Allowed Apps/Excluded Apps. |
| Allowed Apps | Enter the application package name and click Add (+). |
| Allow Fallback to Default Connection | Enable this option to allow device to use the default network connection if the requested network slice is unavailable. |
| Add Slice | Use this option to create an enterprise slice. |
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
4. Go back to the Home tab and select the device(s).
5. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
6. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
