Configure File Sharing Policy (Android Enterprise)
The File Sharing Policy feature in SureMDM allows administrators to manage file transfer settings between devices and cloud storage. This includes controlling Cloud-to-Device Sync and Device-to-Cloud Sync, enabling secure and efficient file sharing based on organizational policies.
To configure File Sharing Policy remotely on the enrolled devices, follow these steps:
Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > Android > Add > File Sharing Policy > Configure.
Enter a Profile Name.
In the File Sharing Policy Settings screen, enter the following details and click Save.

| Cloud to Device Sync | |
| Add | Use this option to add files for sharing. Click Add > select file > Add > Done. |
| Auto Download | Enable this option to automatically download selected files to the device. |
| Set Download Path | Specify the folder path where files should be downloaded. Note: On Android 11+, downloading outside public folders requires Allow All File Access; otherwise, files are saved to the default path (Android/data/com.nix/files/EFSS/). Supported from SureMDM Agent ≥ 27.41.77. |
| Permission | Use this option to configure file permission detials.

| Delete | Deletes the selected files from the file store. |

| Enable Device to Cloud Sync | Turns on the device-to-cloud file synchronization feature.Note: Supported from Android SureMDM Agent ≥ 27.41.77. |
| Add | Use this option to add a new sync configuration. Configure the following options:

| Data Upload Preference | Select the preferred network type for uploads: any network, Wi-Fi only, or mobile data. |
| Maximum File Length to be Uploaded | Set the maximum allowable size for files to be uploaded. |
| Data Transfer Limit | Restrict the total amount of data transferred during sync. Click Add, select duration type, set limit in MB/GB, then click Add. |
