Disable Factory Reset

This option prevents users from resetting the device to factory settings. This is helpful if Settings is allowed as an approved application and do not want the user to factory reset the device. Once this option is enabled, Factory Reset option gets grayed out.

Prerequisite

Ensure SureLock is configured on the Lollipop device that supports a platform-signed Agent or devices supported by the OEM SDK.

To enable Disable Factory Reset, follow these steps:

  1. Tap 5 times on the home screen of SureLock to bring up the password prompt and access the SureLock Admin Settings.
  2. Enter the correct password and tap on OK
  3. Go to SureLock Settings and check Disable Factory Reset.

This will prevent the user from performing a factory reset on the device exclusively through the Android Settings.
