Configure Application Policy Profile
The Application Policy feature for tvOS enables administrators to remotely manage the installation of VPP applications on enrolled devices. This feature simplifies the deployment of software across multiple devices by providing a streamlined and efficient approach.
As of now, only VPP applications can be remotely deployed to tvOS devices.
To create a profile to install an application on the enrolled device(s), follow these steps:
On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Profiles > tvOS > Add > Application Policy > Configure.
Enter a Profile Name and click Add.
In the Add App prompt, select the desired app from App Name dropdown.
When you select the app category type, the following additional option will be displayed:
- Auto Update: Auto Update enables the app to automatically update whenever a new version becomes available.
After selecting the App, click Add
The added application will get reflected in the table section
After adding required application(s), click Save.
The newly created profile will be listed in the Profiles section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the tvOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
