Notification Policy

SureMDM allows administrators to create notification policies for enrolled devices. Once this job is pushed to the enrolled device, automatic notifications will be sent when the device goes beyond the set threshold.

To configure the Notification Policy on the enrolled device(s) or group(s) remotely, follow these steps:

  1. On the SureMDM Web Console, navigate to Jobs > New Job > AnyOS > Notification Policy.    

  2. Configure the required settings and click OK.

Job NameEnter a name for the Job.
Disable Notification PolicySelect this option to disable all the notification settings for a specific Job.
Enable Battery PolicySelect this option to set the value (in %) for the battery threshold. This option notifies the user (Device/Admin/E-mail address) when an enrolled device's battery power falls below the set threshold. This option also alerts when the device is plugged in or unplugged from the charger. 
Enable Connection PolicySelect this option to set the time (in min). This option notifies the user (Device/Admin/Email address) when an enrolled device is offline in the Console beyond the specified period of time.
Enable Data Usage PolicySelect this option to set the data usage (in KB/MB/GB). This option notifies the user (Device/Admin/E-mail address) when an enrolled device's data consumption exceeds the set threshold.
Notify when device comes onlineThis option notifies the user (device/admin/e-mail address) when an enrolled device comes online after being offline.
Notify when SIM is changedThis option notifies the user (device/admin/e-mail address) when an enrolled device's SIM card is changed.
Notify when device is rooted or SureMDM Agent has been granted with root permissionSends a notification when the device has granted root access or when the SureMDM Agent has got advanced management permissions after rooting.
Send Alert to
Admins can configure the notification alert with the following options:
SureMDM Web Console - Admin of the account (Inbox section)
Device – Device user (Mailbox section)
E-Mail Notification - Registered Email address
SMS Notification - Registered Mobile Number

The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section. 

  1. Go back to the Home tab and select the device or group(s).

  2. Click Apply to launch the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.

  3. In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the job(s) and click Apply.
